Walking Together On An Ecospiritual Liberatory Journey
And when Grasshopper flies into your heart
their green gears grin
at all your precious purities.
You find yourself
no longer fearing
the depths of entangled love
I’m both tickled like a butterfly and hungry like a caterpillar for Wild Nature Heart’s new course/journey starting next month.
THRESHOLD: Earth Intimacies and the Art of Transformation is a 6-week course journey dedicated to tending both our personal and collective thresholds with intention and heart. With the images of threshold crossing and caterpillar-to-butterfly transformation as guiding metaphors, we will deepen our ecospiritual practices, practice being present with the whole of what is at our doorstep, and proliferate imaginal buds for what is emerging.
I’m both excited and curious about Wild Nature Heart’s new course container starting next month. Falling Off the Map is premised on the sneaking suspicion that we’ve exhausted the exhausting maps we’re caught in. That we are being invited to fall through inherited maps… Continue Reading “Falling Off the Map: an Invitation”
Excited to announce two courses this fall: Deep Belonging in the Great Turning and a new course: A Hoof in Each Direction: Cultivating Earth-Rooted Wholeness. See below for brief descriptions. As part of Radical Joy for Hard Times’ Global Earth Exchange, we will gather to Honor Our Love and Pain for the World. This will be equal parts sharing in circle, solo time on land/with the river, a simple grief ritual, and creating ecoart… Continue Reading “Global Earth Exchange: Honoring Our Love and Pain For the World”
🌏Anchor in an unshakable ecospirituality (deep time, reciprocity, gratitude, humility, animism, sacred pause, honoring the season)….See More
Healing work IS Anti-racist work IS Decolonial work IS Ecotherapeutic work IS Sacred Grief work IS Rewilding work.
These are not and cannot be seperate if we are to dream and enact ourselves into regenerative, cooperative, co-liberatory, earth-honoring habits of being and doing.
Practicing saying ‘I don’t know’ might be an essential sur-thrival skill in this Great Turning. Finding the Power in Uncertainty.
I created Deep Belonging because I am in love with the world & because I am grasped by a wondering: Can we, with wild nature hearts & humble courage, remember what we’ve forgotten and intentionally face this Collective Initiation of intersecting ecological & social crises?
This is the 3rd iteration of the experience—it’s now two weeks longer and I’m excited to weave in more decolonial imaginings, deepen our holding of the griefs and joys on our doorstep, and explore Compost and Turnings as guiding, dynamic metaphors.
The Era of I-Over is over. Deep We is calling. Saying compost the dead & dying body of the Over-culture, decolonize our hearts, & dismantle identity-prisons that have us all by the throats.
May the sun behind veils and grief behind masks be invitations to new intimacies and wild remembrances. May we smuggle in contraband questions under cover of haze.
Could we weave our grief, unknowingness, sacred rage, and delicate unthwartable longings into previously undared and shared possibilities?
Is it possible that the forced slowing and shutting down has within it the grace of a sacred pause that allows for deep listening, for cultivating deep belonging, and co-creating solutions for leaning into this Great Turning?
The Wild Nature Heart Challenge: A Season Of Deepening is a Self-paced mini-adventure with 25+ earth-rooted practices and accompanying poems to guide you into reconnecting and deepening your connection with the inner and outer wild.
The journey from the dominant culture to exciting and meandering alternative paths to our own authentic and sovereign path. As we each individually step off the rails and into our uniqueness and wholeness, we are co-creating the new paradigms needed for The Great Turning.
We’ve held a few gatherings now called Ecogrief Healing Circles: Honoring Our Pain and Resiliency (now monthly in Humboldt, and soon an Online Circle), and it is clear: there is a dire need for these gatherings. But another thing is equally clear: this isn’t just about ecogrief, the pain and fear we feel, this is about love and connection. It’s about reclaiming our birthright as humans, which is community, which is joy/awe/pleasure in nature’s beauty and abundance and all that life has to offer, which is our natural Wild Resiliency.
How nourishing to witness and be witnessed in our difficult (and joyful) emotions in circle and ritual, cultivating earth community, and sharing ways of taking care of ourselves and engaging in empowering action.
