Walking Together On An Ecospiritual Liberatory Journey
Looking for a different type of adventure, one that feeds your wild body as well as your wild soul?
We invite you to join us for a 3-night Wilderness Backpacking Journey in the Trinity Alps.
This is NOT your ordinary backpacking trip – it is a journey of connection, play, and dreaming big with a community of supportive peers and guides. Your story will be witnessed and mirrored. Participants will walk away inspired, challenged, grounded, and eager to step further into their power with clarity.
Through wilderness backpacking, council circle, sense- and soul-based activities, and creative exploration, we will hold sacred space for reconnecting to your biggest, most authentic selves. It is an opportunity to challenge yourself physically and soulfully, listen with presence to your inner voice and the power of wild nature. There will be ample opportunity for solo exploration and play.
Say yes to reconnection – to your body, your soul, community, and nature.
We hope you can join us!

What Wild Heart Participants Say:
“I feel like the best version of myself. There are parts of me that I feel, which haven’t shown themselves in years. On a soul level everything is very “lit up” yet calm at the same time. Content, confident, empowered, grounded, aware, exceptionally optimistic. One big thing that’s different is I feel connected with an inner knowing that I have the resources and agency to respond sustainably and healthily. This is possibly the best I have felt about myself and life that I can remember.” — Karen S., Participant in Spring Visioning Program
“Ryan has a way of gently guiding people to be more connected to the earth. He has a deep appreciation for the wilder places in our world, and understands how vital they are for our well-being (physical, mental, and emotional). As a participant in his nature therapy events, I have been astonished at the deep insights and healing I feel during each and every one. His events are a great break from our fast-paced and stressful lives, where we can slow down and really listen to the deep wisdom that can be found in nature.” — Diane, Oakland
Some Details: The route is a workout, but is not too rugged. It is definitely doable even for beginner backpackers, and we are not in a rush. A good rule of thumb is that you must be able to hike with a pack at an easy pace for several miles at time.
We will send out a gear list to registered participants in advance. Don’t hesitate to ask questions. At the least you will need your own backpack, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, water bottle, own bowl and silverware, and decent hiking shoes. (REI and other outfitter stores can rent some gear that you might not have). We have camp kitchen equipment, water filter, bear canisters, etc. We will provide some meals, namely dinners and a breakfast, you will bring most of your breakfasts and lunches.
Cancellation policy: Trip will be cancelled or rescheduled and any payment received will be returned if fewer than 4 participants sign up.
