Today one woman from White Earth Reservation sat down in front of a pump used by @enbridge to suck #water out of the #mississippiriver and before you know it she was joined by another and another and then women started getting in the #river and the #enbridge worker could not turn on the pump. As the #clearwater #clearwatercounty #sherrif office read the #women their rights the women read the officers texts stating they were #treatypeople on #1855treatyterritory and they were there standing for the #earth and the #indigenous people. Two women were arrested and there were five citations given to #waterprotectors who were reminding the arresting officers they were protecting water for everyone’s children. The #sheriff is also concerned about the frac outs and has filed a report. Today was both inspirational because of the actions of those standing for the rights of the water and deeply depressing to see the headwaters already being spoiled by frac fluid and frac mud and to see the water so low. #StopLine3 is a global issue as our house is on fire.
